This application was developed primarily to address the inefficiencies encountered when using Sailwave for calculating dinghy race results within a local club setting. The traditional process was often time-consuming and cumbersome, prompting the need for a more streamlined solution.

The software offers a straightforward, user-friendly interface designed to facilitate rapid setup and execution. Users can efficiently input details regarding boats, competitors, and races, with minimal typing required. The system supports real-time results viewing, enabling race officials to monitor progress at any stage.

Ideal for sailors with sails, the application provides quick entry of essential information including series, races, and boats. It allows detailed recording of helm, crew, sail number, and Portsmouth Yardstick numbers (compatible with RYA 2021 and 2019 standards), with customizable options available.

The interface incorporates dropdown menus populated with previous competitor data, significantly accelerating the process of adding new series or races. Race results can be entered automatically per lap or manually through an intuitive and clean layout. Once a race concludes, results can be promptly emailed to multiple recipients or exported for sharing.

The system includes a race start countdown sequence that initiates five minutes prior to the start, accompanied by warning beeps at specific intervals (5, 4, 1, and 0 minutes). Results are accessible immediately during the race, permitting continuous monitoring.

Exported results can be easily copied to the clipboard or emailed directly from the application, facilitating seamless integration with club websites. Additionally, series data can be exported and imported between different instances of the app for consistency across events.
